The Role

Job Description:

Location : Haguenau

Segment : Mars Wrigley

Type of contract : Permanent

As a Market Collaboration Lead, you will be at the heart of demand planning, ensuring accurate and balanced sales forecasts for MW France. Reporting to the Regional Planning Director, you will own the forecasting process for your portfolio, covering the full planning horizon (Y+1). Your role will involve leveraging statistical models (AI-powered) alongside key business inputs from Sales (e.g., promotions) and Marketing (e.g., media campaigns) to build robust, data-driven forecasts.

You will drive forecast accuracy by assessing trends, evaluating risks and opportunities, and managing upside/downside scenarios in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. A key part of your role will be leading discussions during the Demand Management Review, ensuring forecasts are aligned and signed off by the Sales Director. With a strong focus on mid-to-long-term planning (4+ periods), you will analyze multiple scenarios against defined metrics to support strategic decision-making.

What are we looking for?

  • You have a solid first experience in demand planning (3-5 years required) or a strong understanding of the market.

  • You are familiar with S&OP processes and the FMCG industry (preferred).

  • You are fluent in English, as the team reports to the regional level.

  • You know how to manage stakeholders effectively and thrive in a highly collaborative environment.

  • You are action-oriented, able to drive discussions, challenge assumptions, and navigate ambiguity with confidence.

  • You have a strong analytical mindset and regularly track key performance indicators to drive improvements.

  • You can work independently while knowing when to ask for support, demonstrating both autonomy and teamwork.

  • You are looking to establish yourself as an expert in the field and take on a highly visible role.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Own the market forecast by integrating system data and forecasting analyst inputs to build a robust demand plan for the full planning horizon, ensuring alignment with the supply plan.

  • Provide strategic insights to the Senior Market Collaboration Lead during the Demand Management Review (DMR), ensuring visibility and alignment on portfolio performance across the entire forecast horizon.

  • Maintain and refine forecast drivers, analyzing base sales trends (YoY, historical performance) and assessing upside/downside scenarios to enhance forecast accuracy.

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams, incorporating key business inputs such as promotions and media impact.

  • Monitor actuals vs. forecast and work closely with the Product Availability Teams to adjust plans and respond effectively to demand fluctuations.

  • Manage short-term demand challenges by escalating unplanned demand issues and validating escalations from Product Availability Teams to ensure supply chain responsiveness.

  • Track and improve forecast performance metrics (BIAS, SFA, FVA), working alongside the Forecasting Analyst to develop action plans that enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • At Mars, we believe in a relationship of mutual trust, dignity and respect between our company and Associates that is more meaningful than the standard employer/employee relationship.

  • As Associates, we can expect to be respected, supported and valued as individuals, to be treated fairly and equitably.

  • You will join the most iconic segment of Mars and the world's largest chocolate manufacturer, which includes M&Ms, Snickers, Twix, Maltesers, Freedent, Airways and Be-Kind cereal bars

  • In Haguenau, you will work on the site of the largest M&M's factory in Europe and the second largest in the world
