Vitamix is seeking a Demand and S&OP Lead that will serve as the process owner for demand planning, ensuring the creation of a realistic and accurate consensus demand forecast across an 18-month rolling horizon. This position actively collaborates cross-functionally to standardize processes and align the demand plan with critical supply chain and financial strategies. Ultimately, they play a key role in enabling the organization to meet its strategic business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Generates and maintains accurate baseline statistical forecasts for assigned product categories, utilizing historical data and established models.
- Collects and integrates market intelligence, sales insights, and promotional plans into the demand forecast to enhance accuracy.
- Facilitates monthly Demand Planning meetings with Sales and other stakeholders, managing data within the forecasting software.
- Prepares, leads and facilitates a series of monthly S&OP meetings, comparing actual vs. forecast sales volume and net revenue against budget or latest projections.
- Owns the overall process and monthly/weekly/daily process within the Demantra forecasting software
- Facilitates the resolution of business process gaps and supports continuous improvement activities to optimize resource utilization.
- Aids the Demand Planning Team with new hire orientation, on-the-job training, and managing associated process documentation.
- Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for assigned team member(s), ensuring clear priorities and accountability for results.
- Provides backup coverage for absences of Demand Planners, ensuring continuity of critical operations.
- Develops collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, promoting alignment of activities to balance customer requirements with supply chain capabilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain roles, such as demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management required.
Five (5) years of experience in a monthly S&OP Process is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) or an integrated ERP software.
- Experience using Demantra Forecasting software preferred.
- Ability to query and analyze data from various sources, including Oracle, Tableau, ProjectPlace and Excel
- Certification in CPIM, CSCP, CSM or Six Sigma preferred.
