for the right person to provide lead level guidance and performance in a world
leading Bioprocess facility in Meath.
This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and
overseeing project execution for automation aspects of projects to deliver a
consistently high-quality product with a strict adherence to company policies
and standards as well as creating the automation standards and specifications.
Works with team to design and implement new end-to-end technological solutions,
and/or update current solutions, and ensures that project deliverables are met.
Builds a holistic understanding of how solutions fit into the broader
enterprise context and works to build an ecosystem of integrated technologies.
Lead Automation Engineering position will perform/direct the
development, design, and implementation of Process Control Systems on new and
upgrading of existing industrial process instrumentation and control projects.
This Engineer is a key member of a diverse team of professionals executing
process control projects. Resource must have an excellent understanding of
heavy industry process control to develop and execute the project control
strategies and system architecture used on assigned projects.
Responsibilities -
- Provide Engineering services and lead a team of Process Automation
System engineers in developing information for creation of design documentation
including:
- Preparation of Configuration
Functional Design Specifications
- Consulting with the Safety
Instrumented System Engineer to develop control strategies for Basic Process
Control Systems
- Implementing new product
technologies where appropriate such as DeltaV,
- DeltaV SIS, AMS (Asset
Management System)
- Configuring DeltaV Control
Systems from Control Narratives & P&IDs using Function Blocks
- Structured Text and
Sequential Function Charts.
- 10+ Automation experience
- 8-10 years DeltaV experience
- 5+ years as a technical lead on medium to large DeltaV projects
- Ideally some migration experience
- Understanding of CSV on large capital projects.
Requirements
- Provide automation
consulting and batch architect consulting for customers applying S88 project concepts.
- Work with customers and
project teams to solve complex control problems requiring industry
expertise.
- Work with customers to
develop project methodologies that will affect their standards and develop
functional requirements based on observation of the process or input from
process engineers.
- Solve complex process
control problems in the industry and start up complex systems at customer’s
plants.
- Lead, plan and organize the
work of project teams, and act as a mentor for individuals within the group.
- Design, implement and test
controls for a complex process or area of a project and provide application and
process expertise.
- Lead department efforts to
improve processes.
- Candidate must have good
verbal and written communication skills in English.
Required Skills:
- BS in a related engineering
field (e.g., Electrical, Instrument, Chemical)
- Minimum 5 years Industry
experience
- Minimum 5 years DeltaV
configuration experience with both Batch and Continuous applications
- Process control project
experience required.
- Ability to develop proposals
and quote large complex batch projects.
- Industry best practices
finder and champion. Understand, in detail, concepts of current advance control
techniques and the control requirements of most commonly used process
equipment.
- Ability to solve process control problems
using these techniques.
- Experience in startup of
large automation projects.
- Cost justifies process
improvements/projects.
