This is a remote, full-time position where you will take ownership of designing, developing, and optimizing complex applications using Delphi. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications in Delphi (RAD Studio, Object Pascal).
- Refactor and optimize existing codebases for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Integrate Delphi applications with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and external APIs.
- Work with legacy systems while progressively modernizing architecture.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Provide technical mentorship to mid-level and junior developers.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and release notes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with Delphi (RAD Studio, VCL, FireMonkey).
- Strong knowledge of Object Pascal and object-oriented programming principles.
- Solid experience with relational databases (SQL, stored procedures, optimization).
- Experience integrating Delphi with REST/SOAP services and third-party libraries.
- Familiarity with multi-threading, memory management, and application performance tuning.
- Understanding of version control (Git, SVN).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Delphi migration (e.g., from older versions to modern RAD Studio).
- Knowledge of C#, .NET, or C++ for cross-platform integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Background in financial, healthcare, or enterprise software solutions.
