The Job At-A-Glance:
Q2 is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to join our Services Delivery team. This leader will be responsible for our Platform Technical Implementation Team organization that installs and configures our Q2 Digital Banking Platform for new Financial Institution clients. This individual will be focused on quality, efficiency, automation, and consistent configuration of the software solution with an eye toward process improvement, team leadership and individual mentoring.
A Typical Day:

  • Lead a team of engineers working on production and non-production environments for new Financial Institution customers.
  • Build and maintain strong and successful teams in an organizational culture of high accountability.
  • Collaborate with Director, Technical Delivery, and other leaders in Platform Ops to deliver customers on time, and with high quality.
  • Establish systematic procedures for periodic review, assessment, and prioritization of new cross-team processes.
  • Drive business process analysis to improve end-to-end solution efficiency and automation: gather data, ask questions, understand gaps and opportunities and drive recommendations with stakeholders across multiple organizations. Perform gap analysis on current and planned implementation of new technologies and processes. This involves understanding planned vs. actual (or realizable) efficiency gains/cost savings and clearly articulating gaps to plan along with any recommendations to resolve gaps.
  • Provide key management reporting / metrics for defined goals and objectives.
  • Think and implement a flexible working model to seamlessly collaborate with global teams in a 24x5 operating model.
  • Identify opportunities for automation & process maturity to reduce configuration time across all phases of delivery while maintaining high quality.
  • Help manage the enterprise client relationship and effectively communicate expectations.
  • Help ensure all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to.

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • Typically requires 2+ years managing and developing employees
  • 5+ years of related experience managing technical delivery teams of 5+ individuals.
  • 5+ years of related experience in developing and successfully driving new programs and processes, especially across multiple teams and organizations
  • 4+ years of experience with business processes and business analysis in an enterprise software or system engineering environment
  • Proven success in internal and client-facing communication and expectation setting.
  • Established ability to work closely with Product and R&D organizations to constantly drive improvement in process, timeline adherence and quality of deliverables.
  • Experience working and managing successfully in a global delivery environment.
  • Detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Data-driven, with an aptitude for continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
