This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit's Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). Key Accountabilities:
- Provides assistance in manufacturing and production processes
- Applies principles and practices typically associated with quality engineering, industrial engineering, and manufacturing engineering functions and coordinates with other support disciplines or core functions as required
- Develops quality and cost-effective methods, standards, and systems for production by applying production engineering principles
- Participates in technical research on proposed projects
- Offers guidance to manufacturing staff
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of related experience
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Trade School certificate
- Understanding of fabrication and/or assembly build processes and sequencing
- Experience in Continuous improvement and Manufacturing Support
- FSDA implementation
- 3DX capability
- Familiarity with drilling and welding hard metals
- Familiarity with composite processes and materials
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-based environment
- Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including follow through to closure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Project Management experience
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Experience with SAP
Union:
This is a union-represented position.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $59,450 - $91,150
Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
