About the role

As a Deployment Strategist, you will lead the strategy for customizing and delivering our products (both dual-use and defense-specific) to our national security customers. Your core task is to bring together diverse sources of information to discern the most pressing problem, grasp user motivations, and then define what the product needs to drive the most impact. Past solutions should never limit your vision for what we can build.

As the first person in this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build and scale our approach to deployment strategy from the ground up, in coordination with Business Development, Capture, Product, and Engineering teams. Your strategic vision, coupled with your hands-on execution, will set the standard for future deployments.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, is passionate about defense technology, highly opinionated about what it should look like, and is eager to make a significant impact on national security.

At Applied Intuition Defense, you will:
  • Capture the needs of national security operators and project stakeholders to propose effective use of Applied’s products
  • Structure and lead customer presentations, from on-site user workshops to extremely polished executive presentations
  • Own technical strategy for winning government solicitations and contractor engagements
  • Have purview across all engagements to analyze market trends and inform overall strategy of the Defense business
We're looking for someone who has:
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical, strategy or customer engagement role in a defense, robotics, or software organizations
  • Hands-on experience with simulation and AI/ML data products
  • References who will describe them as low-ego, highly motivated, thoughtfully opinionated, strong communicators and curious listeners
  • Current TS Clearance
  • Ability to commute to the Applied Intuition DC office 5 days a week
  • Ability to travel 25 – 75% required

Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
