As the Dealership Controller, you will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing strategic financial guidance to support dealership growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Develop financial reports and budgets to inform business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Support leadership with financial forecasting and strategic planning.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
- Manage budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with department heads to support financial planning and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role within automotive dealership or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including GAAP.
- Experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Must be willing to travel.
