We are seeking a detail-oriented DE/SAR/LAPP Mortgage Underwriter Manager to join our team. Duties:
Assess Risk: Determine a borrower's ability to repay by analyzing credit history, debt-to-income, and loan-to-value ratios.
Ensure Compliance: Verify loans meet specific FHA, VA, USDA, and lender guidelines, applying program rules consistently. Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Make Decisions: Approve, deny, or counteroffer loans, and sign off on conditions before funding.
Support Teams: Act as a resource for loan officers and processors, resolving complex issues and ensuring deadlines are met.
Maintain Knowledge: Stay updated on changing government lending policies and investor overlays.
Qualifications:
Expertise: Deep understanding of FHA, VA, and USDA loan guidelines (e.g., HUD Handbook).
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and assess risk.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous review of complex documentation.
Communication: Clear communication with production teams and leadership.
Certifications: DE / SAR / LAPP
Experience: 5+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting.
This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
