- Engage with Global Markets stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate business needs into clear, standardized analytical tasks.
- Design and document analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with internal standards and best practices.
- Identify and validate data sources, collaborating with data engineers to provision and optimize data using AWS Glue and Amazon Athena.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to maintain accurate and consistent analytics, adhering to agreed-upon business definitions and metrics.
- Develop datasets and dashboards in Amazon QuickSight, ensuring performance, user-friendliness, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Support the generation of insights and analytical outputs, assisting with ad-hoc analysis requests and presenting findings in a structured, business-friendly manner.
- Adapt to shifting priorities, working across multiple initiatives in parallel and participating in agile delivery ceremonies.
- Contribute to analytics standards, templates, and best practices, supporting the onboarding and coaching of analysts.
- Represent analytics in working groups and stakeholder forums, providing expertise and insights.
- Strong SQL skills for complex analytical queries and data validation are a must-have.
- Hands-on experience with Python/PySpark for data transformations in an AWS environment is essential.
- Proficiency in Amazon QuickSight, including dataset creation, calculated fields, and visualization development, is a requirement.
- Working knowledge of the AWS Analytics Stack, particularly Amazon Athena and AWS Glue, is desirable.
- Experience working with Global Markets or financial data (FX, FI, Equities, Risk, Prime) is an advantage.
- The ability to support analytics across multiple concurrent initiatives and handle data quality and governance is highly valued.
- Solid hands-on analytics and SQL capability, with proven end-to-end ownership of analytics delivery.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and solution design skills, along with experience in complex analytical problem-solving.
- A minimum of 4-7 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a track record of successful analytics projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
