The Opportunity
The DD&T Program Manager leads complex, cross‑functional programs composed of multiple projects and epics across DD&T. This role is accountable for translating business strategy and desired outcomes into clearly structured, governed, and value‑driven programs that span products, platforms, and services.
The role partners closely with Business Units / Business Functions (BU/BF), Product and Platform Owners, Technology Business Partners, and DD&T leadership to ensure programs are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to Takeda’s strategic priorities, governance standards, and value realization expectations. Ideally candidate would work US time zone as they would be supporting Hub based program teams.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and direct a portfolio of interrelated projects and epics, ensuring alignment to business outcomes, strategic objectives, and roadmaps.
- Own and manage program scope, schedule, cost, quality, dependencies, and risks, ensuring delivery of measurable outcomes.
- Maintain a holistic view of program success factors, ensuring individual project execution supports broader program objectives.
- Continuously assess, prioritize, and rationalize programs and projects to maximize value delivery.
- Ensure teams understand and comply with DD&T governance frameworks, policies, and delivery standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for program engagement with senior stakeholders and customers.
- Communicate program status, milestones, risks, issues, and accomplishments clearly and consistently.
- Facilitate structured stakeholder conversations to drive alignment, escalation resolution, and decision‑making.
- Partner with BU/BF leaders, Product and Platform owners, and Technology Business Partners to identify and deliver technology services that meet strategic needs.
- Provide transparency into resource needs, capacity constraints, interdependencies, and impacts across the portfolio.
Financial Management & Value Realization
- Lead program estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking, including benefits realization.
- Ensure financial discipline through cost management, funding governance, and value‑based prioritization.
- Support business cases and investment decisions with financial analysis and value realization metrics.
- Monitor and report against program OKRs tied to delivery performance and business outcomes.
Risk, Governance & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and manage program‑level risks and issues, driving mitigation and escalation when required.
- Ensure adherence to technology governance, security, compliance, and risk management standards.
- Drive disciplined change control and decision governance across the program lifecycle.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5-8 Years experience leading large, complex technology programs spanning multiple teams and delivery models.
- Strong background in project and program management as well as Agile/SAFE methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business stakeholders and technology leaders.
- Experience working with PPM tools such as Microsoft Project/Planner, Jira, or equivalent.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and benefits realization.
- Experience operating within formal governance and portfolio management frameworks.
