Appsforce is looking for a Senior DBA to join our core tech team and take ownership of building and optimizing complex data pipelines and structures. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and has deep technical expertise in managing and processing large-scale, complex data systems — including hierarchical structures like graphs and trees.
- What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database solutions.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
- Design and maintain indexes, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient and scalable database architectures.
- Support production environments by identifying and resolving database performance issues.
- Participate in database design, schema changes, and deployment processes.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and adherence to database best practices.
- 6+ years of experience as an Application DBA or SQL Server DBA.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Excellent knowledge of T-SQL and writing complex queries.
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
- Experience developing Stored Procedures, Functions, and Views.
- Strong understanding of relational databases.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Skills Required
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Python
- Strong experience with SQL Server
- Advanced SQL skills and experience writing complex queries
- Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development
- Experience working with Big Data technologies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with Spark
