digital platforms.
Requirements
Must Have:
- Experience in designing complex relational (OLTP) &
dimensional (OLAP) data models across diverse data ecosystems
- Specialization in one of the prominent RDBMS (Oracle, Microsoft
SQL Server etc.) & NoSQL(Mongo DB)
- Manage version-controlled schema evolutions without causing
downtime, to support high availability for mission critical systems like
corporate payment channels
- Ability to conceive and design performance oriented databases
using clustered, non-clustered, and partial indexes, in addition to
knowledge of configuring memory buffers, caching layers, and CPU
priorities for maximum throughput.
- Ability to use database profiling tools to analyze execution
plans and rewrite inefficient queries to remove performance bottlenecks.
Nice to Have(May become required in
long-term):
- Scaling & Load Balance implementation exposure with
knowledge of database sharding and distributed clustering to handle
massive read/write volumes.
- Optimize storage using DB techniques such as table
partitioning, data compression, and advanced sharding techniques
- Experience/knowledge of designing modern architectures blending
data lakes with relational capabilities and integrating database systems
with big data ecosystems
- Implementation knowledge of data lineage, data quality
controls, CDC & streaming pipelines will be an added advantage
Skills Required
