DB Administration Senior Specialist

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior DB Administration Specialist to join our team at IT Operation & Control Room Factory. In this role, you will directly report to the Manager.

What You'll Do:

• You will be instrumental in supporting both project-based and operational tasks;

•  You will focus on database installation, upgrades, administration, and performance tuning.

• Oversee the installation, upgrades, and ongoing management of databases;

• Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and efficiency;

• Provide expert database administration in both project-driven and operational contexts;

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and system stability.

Who You Are:

• You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven ability to work independently;

• You possess a strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS on Linux platforms and OCI;

• You are highly skilled in database administration and are comfortable managing multiple databases simultaneously;

• You have flexibility, teamwork abilities, and a proactive attitude;

• You are passionate for innovation and automation in database management;

• You have strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving;

• You are proficient in Italian and English both written and spoken.

Preferable Skills:

• Knowledge of additional technologies such as:

  • MySQL (including the NoSQL-MySQLX feature)

  • SQL Server

  • Oracle GoldenGate

Additional Information:

• This role requires 24x7 on-call availability to support shifts as needed.
