Databricks Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver enterprise-scale IT and digital transformation initiatives within a large retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to successful implementation and sign-off.

This role requires a strong blend of project management, stakeholder engagement, governance, and technology delivery expertise. The Project Manager will work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes aligned to strategic business objectives.

• Lead complex, enterprise-scale technology and digital transformation projects from initiation to closure.
  
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies using industry best practices.
  
• Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategic objectives into executable project roadmaps.
  
• Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solution delivery.
  
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering, data, and business stakeholders.
  
• Drive project governance, reporting, and decision-making processes.
  
• Manage project risks, issues, change requests, and dependencies proactively.
  
• Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders.
  
• Ensure solutions are implemented successfully and embedded into business operations.
  
• Monitor project performance against timelines, budgets, business benefits, and user adoption metrics.
  
• Manage multiple vendors and delivery partners to ensure alignment and accountability.
  
• Ensure adherence to the Decision Inc. Project Lifecycle methodology and project management standards.
  

• Strong working knowledge of Databricks
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MS Project)
  
• Experience delivering data, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives
  
• Understanding of enterprise technology delivery environments

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within large enterprise environments.
  
• Demonstrated success managing digital transformation and technology implementation projects.
  
• Experience working within the retail sector will be highly advantageous.
  
• Strong project governance, risk management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  
• Experience managing multi-vendor and multi-team delivery environments.
  
• Ability to manage projects involving data, analytics, cloud, or modern technology platforms.
  
• Relevant Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent) preferred.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Project Manager with experience delivering large-scale technology and transformation projects within complex enterprise environments. They will be comfortable engaging with executive leadership, managing diverse stakeholder groups, and driving successful business outcomes through disciplined project execution and governance. Experience within retail, data, and analytics programmes, particularly involving Databricks, will be highly advantageous.
