ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to execute both program and internal tasks within milestones and deadlines.
- Perform integration and evaluation of 3D database content into the visual database.
- Evaluate and apply solutions to maintain visual database performance.
- Perform rendering, processing, and versioning of database 3D content clip maps.
- Support database Pre-flight and database working group meetings.
- Manage new tools/plugins or software requests.
- Testing and troubleshooting of runtime and database tools/processes.
- Assist the software engineering department with developmental needs and testing of new tools/plugins or software.
- Perform conversion of visual database to industry formats such as NPSI and OGC CDB.
- Perform check of visual database DBDD and User Manual Documents.
- Documentation of Database Integration Dept technical processes.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Strong collaborative, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Expertise with the Geospecific and Geotypical production tools and processes.
- Expertise with Open Flight modeling format and practices
- Expertise with OGC CDB format. i.e. export to CDB, import of CDB, modification, etc.
- An understanding of 3D visual composition as it relates to real world data for simulation. (i.e. relative scaling, spatial orientation, color, texture)
- Basic knowledge and experience using the Cygwin bash shell.
- Basic knowledge and experience using Perforce revision control.
- Experience working in a Microsoft Windows based environment.
- United States citizenship required, due to US Government restrictions on access to certain data and information.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Use of the Autodesk Maya software package.
- Use of Adobe Photoshop software package.
- Use of QGIS and/or ESRI ArcGIS image processing software package.
- Use of Creator software package.
- Use of Jira Issue and Project tracking software.
- Basic scripting and macro creation knowledge.
- Use of Confluence corporate wiki.
- Use of Microsoft Office. (MS Excel/MS Word/MS Project)
