The Impact you will have in this role:

We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer/ Snowflake Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL, database platforms, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, cloud-based data environments, and performance tuning. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and database systems.

Your Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain database solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. 
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects. 
  • Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as DBT, Snowpipe, and COPY INTO. 
  • Develop and maintain data models, including relational, dimensional, star, and snowflake schemas. 
  • Manage and optimize databases on platforms such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Databricks, and AWS. 
  • Implement data integration solutions using APIs, SFTP, and batch processing methods. 
  • Ensure data quality through validation, reconciliation, and data profiling activities.  
  • Monitor database and pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance enhancements. 
  • Implement security controls including RBAC, database roles, and access management. 
  • Maintain version control using Git and GitHub. 
  • Support Agile delivery processes, including participation in Scrum ceremonies and Jira-based project management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Strong experience with SQL and database development. 
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and at least one major database platform (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Databricks). 
  • Experience designing data models and data warehouse solutions. 
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and data transformation techniques. 
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and data platforms. 
  • Understanding of database security, monitoring, and performance tuning. 
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
