Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and motivated Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a subset of the following skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in other areas. This role involves collaborating with team members to develop and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring comprehensive testing, and providing support in ticket creation and documentation.

This position requires the employee to work onsite at a classified Government facility on Port San Antonio three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications.

• Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment processes.

• Create and manage tickets in Jira and assist other team members in their ticket creation.

• Document processes and projects in Confluence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess an active Secret clearance

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree OR have an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with PostgreSQL

• Knowledge of database design principals and normalization

• Experience with database optimization of medium sized (10+million records) databases

• Experience with Extract Transform and Load (ETL) pipelines

• Experience with Amazon RDS

• Proficiency in ticket creation and management using Jira

• Ability to create and maintain documentation in Confluence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Experience with agile development methodologies

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with Git, Docker, ORMs, RESTful APIs, Java, JDBC, SpringBoot, JPA, Hibernate, Junit

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $182,400.00
