About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our data infrastructure. You’ll work with a variety of modern data technologies to build scalable solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools such as ADF, Spark, and SQL.
- Support and enhance existing data workflows and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement data modeling strategies for warehousing and lakehouse environments.
- Perform data transformations using Python/PySpark and SQL.
- Integrate data from various sources including APIs and RESTful services.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using Git and related tools.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed.
What You Bring
- Proficiency in SQL (Microsoft, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience with Spark and ADF.
- Familiarity with data formats such as JSON and CSV.
- Strong understanding of the Big Data lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with Python or PySpark.
- Knowledge of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with storage solutions like Azure Storage Accounts or S3 buckets.
- Understanding of database administration principles.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Redshift.
- Knowledge of KQL, DAX.
- Exposure to Power BI for data visualization.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
