Key Responsibilities
- Install new databases according to business needs on-prem and cloud solutions.
- Administer, maintain, secure, and improve performance for existing databases (Oracle, MSSQL, AWS RDS MySQL) on-premises and cloud solutions.
- Perform administration and maintenance operations of Goldengate replications.
- Execute clone operations for development and test database environments.
- Monitor system resources and create necessary alarm mechanisms.
- Regularly create and perform database backup/recovery and restoring procedures.
- Collaborate with software teams on performance issues, proactively producing solutions such as partitioning, SQL tuning, etc.
- Provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
General Qualifications
- Graduated from Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or similar departments.
- At least 5 years of experience in Oracle and MSSQL database administration.
- Good knowledge and experience in ASM, RAC, Dataguard, EM.
- Experience with MSSQL Server cluster and high availability architecture.
- Proficient in Solaris/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with new technologies such as NoSQL, Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch.
- Familiar with AWS cloud technologies and services.
- Preferably knowledgeable and experienced in MySQL, Postgres databases.
- Preferably knowledgeable and experienced in application servers (Weblogic, JBoss).
- Knowledge of Goldengate, Exadata is a plus.
- Attention to detail, high motivation, analytical thinking, team working, and proactive work ability.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
