M9 Solutions is seeking a Database Admin (On Site) to work on a government contract for a client located in San Diego, CA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deploy and maintain new database configurations in a rapid development environment.
- Support large, complex systems capable of ingesting large amounts of data.
- This position may require business travel in support of customer meetings and operational system deployment and support activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical discipline.
- Familiar with Oracle Database Administrator activities.
- Familiar with Oracle RAC 19c.
- Competency in UNIX shell programming.
- Experience with database-related processes.
- Willingness to advance Oracle Database Administrator skillset.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with solving difficult problems and a self-starter.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Familiar with Oracle RMAN and equivalent Backup and Restore processes.
- Familiar with Oracle installation, patching, and update processes.
- Familiar with SQL and PL/SQL.
- Familiar with Oracle Dataguard.
- Familiar with Ansible.
- Familiar with Oracle Label Security and Oracle Identity Management.
- Basic understanding of UNIX system administration.
- Familiar with other RDBMS and noSQL platforms (e.g., HDFS, Postgres, MongoDB, AllegroGraph, NoSQL, RDF, and/or SPARQL).
- Familiar with Jira and GitLab.
