Tech stack:
-Relational: MySQL/MariaDB 10.11 (InnoDB, GTID replication, sharding);
-OLAP: ClickHouse (distributed clusters);
-Document-oriented: MongoDB 6.x;
-Key–Value / Serverless: AWS DynamoDB;
-Search / Logs: OpenSearch 2.x;
-Git-based code collaboration platform: BitBucket.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure High Availability & Uptime of mission-critical databases operating on multi-TB datasets (5+ TB);
-Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases across environments;
-Design schemas, indexes and access patterns; review SQL / NoSQL queries;
-Implement and manage robust backup and disaster recovery strategies;
-Build metrics, alerts, and dashboards to proactively detect performance issues (latency, replication lag, IOPS);
-Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) to automate database provisioning, maintenance, and scaling;
-Optimise cost and resource usage in AWS (Savings Plans, DynamoDB mode tuning);
-Partner with development teams to advise on database usage patterns and ensure best practices;
-Maintain internal documentation and host knowledge-sharing workshops.

-3+ years with MySQL/MariaDB; 1+ year across OLAP (ClickHouse, Druid, BigQuery, Pinot), NoSQL (DynamoDB), and search engines (OpenSearch);
-Deep knowledge of replication, sharding, partitioning, locking & transactions;
-Solid Linux (Debian / Ubuntu or RHEL), networking, shell / Python scripting;
-Hands-on monitoring with Prometheus + Grafana or Datadog;
-Practical IaC & containerisation skills (Terraform, Docker).

-Comfortable in a flexible Kanban workflow and eager to help the team grow;
-English — fluent, for technical documentation, communication, and collaboration in an international environment;
-Russian — nice to have, helpful for informal team communication.
