Technical Compliance Analyst
Summary
The Technical Compliance Analyst handles the distribution of internal and external information for respective stakeholders as well as providing technical compliance support throughout the product life cycle. Additionally, the Technical Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the business by maintaining relationships with internal departments, regulatory bodies and test labs that ATI does business within order to maintain the integrity of the organization and its license to operate. This role is comprised of technical, administrative and legal aspects.
What you'll do

  • Researches field issues and product issues, end to end, to ensure the regulatory space is satisfied.
  • Ensures effective communication of Regulatory Notifications and Technical Bulletins and are distributed on time so that the requirements of Regulators are fulfilled.
  • Occasionally travels to regulator labs to test and evaluate ATI products and interact with laboratory staff on both approvals and/or problem resolution.
  • Responsible for escalation and ensuring pertinent information reaches the engineering, development and test teams through JIRA (includes test labs).
  • Ensure that global teams are aware of issues and updates are communicated across the regions.
  • Monitors the field trial process from pre-installation to completion.
  • Work closely with regulators to ensure transparency during the field trials and that the process runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Sets expectations for functionalities as they relate to the field trial process.
  • The Technical Compliance Analyst is empowered to coordinate support with ATI development and regulator resources to ensure they are prepared for field testing, lab testing activities, and requirements.
  • Stays abreast of the rules, regulations, and legislative requirements of the various gaming jurisdictions as they pertain to ATI product and their requirements.
  • Serves as the point of contact for regulatory agencies with questions about company products during submission, rework, and field trial activities; also provides support to test labs.
  • Reviews new and existing products for Regulatory Compliance; tests products to ensure requirements are met; communicates and coordinates between studios and other stakeholders to ensure product specifications adhere to gaming guidelines for initial submissions; and performs resolution of regulator or test lab identified issues and field issues which require coordination with regulators or labs. Often this requires the creation of technical documents or white papers for external consumption.
  • Coordinates interoperability testing at ATI facility, regulator/test labs and with customer sites where applicable.
  • Works with QA (testing) and Development Studios to review product updates and evaluate requirements for company recommended field testing, and best methods for release.
  • Advises Management on trends/patterns that affect the approval of products and systems by regulatory agencies involving forensic evaluations, field trials or relating to major base or communications releases.
  • Forensic Review: Manages forensic evaluations where escalation is required. Coordinates forensic activities including the ATI resources and product support issues where evaluations involve regulators or test labs.
  • Facilitates information sharing of software/firmware product releases through the Engineering Change Order / Engineering Review Board (ECO/ERB) process.
  • Provide Project Management of products related to field issues and upgrades through the ECO/ERB process and to understand product structures and provide regulatory guidance to ERB.
  • Reviews and manages releases of software/firmware products through the ERB process, establishing submission plans, field testing plans and coordinating the release to ensure product quality for any major releases.


What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Requires a minimum of five years of product testing and quality experience in an engineering environment. Experience in gaming industry preferred (Class II/III). Oasis Systems is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret gaming regulations within the Compliance space for both systems and gaming machines.
  • Demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • History of leadership in various organizations.
  • Experience with slot machines (video and stepper hardware), peripherals, progressive, Oasis System.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment where the resolution of complex tasks is required.
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and be diplomatic as well as be able to work independently with minimal supervision and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to quickly comprehend products on a technical and mathematical level.
  • Ability to adapt at all times.
  • Create and review Technical Documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues that are reported to the Technical Compliance Team and provide internal support to the other departments.
  • Previous knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues impacting the gaming industry preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented, highly accurate and organized.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Operational knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and be team oriented.
