As the leader of the Data Enablement & Analytics team, you will be responsible for providing data engineering and data science services in support of the Paranoids mission to protect and defend Yahoo, its one billion users, the enterprise, and its brands. We operate data pipelines at scale, process logs across all of our products and infrastructure, and analyze the signals to find where to focus our security efforts.
We are looking for a leader who exhibits a passion for operational excellence in information security. You will have proven people leadership skills, a customer centric focus, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly make recommendations and data-driven decisions.
What a successful candidate will bring to this position
Experience in analytics, security research or data science/engineering roles
Experience implementing solutions for data transformation, management, governance
Clear and constant communication of objectives, status, and outcomes to all relevant partners and peers
Ability to recruit, empower, mentor, and lead the best cyber security talent
Innovative thinking with a curiosity for problem-solving and hands-on contribution
High personal integrity and discretion
Requirements include:a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, cybersecurity, or similar field. Demonstrated skills and knowledge of data technologies such as Hadoop, PySpark, Kafka, Kinesis, Machine Learning, Visualization, Splunk
Additionally, this role is ideal for someone who has experience built across a wide breadth of technology or cybersecurity roles, to include (but not limited to): operating in public cloud environments, software development lifecycles, data enablement and strategy, and vulnerability management.
