What's the role?
Who We Are:
Data Science and Analytics plays a key role in the Core Data and Analytics (CDA) organization. We leverage data to provide key insights, business intelligence and data science products that advance NM's strategic priorities.
Role and Responsibilities :
The Senior Data Analyst will work with the Digital Product (Illustrations) Function to provide recommendations and to drive successful outcomes and improve productivity. The Senior Analyst will apply knowledge of analytics to solve our clients' business problems. This position will work collaboratively with Analytics Leadership and relevant internal and external stakeholders to drive marketing excellence and efficiency for our clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Creates and is accountable for high quality, data driven insights that drive business outcomes; places the user in the center of decision making; and collaborates with team for speed, agility and innovation in work.
End to end independent project management from defining analytical framework to delivering data science products that are actionable and accelerate stakeholder goals.
Collaborate with operational leaders, to generate and/or modify reports to identify trends and important customer feedback to make actionable decisions for the client business
Develop test and learn framework to measure program initiatives
Furthers an environment of continuous learning and intellectual curiosity
Perform rapid prototyping of experimental solutions and develop scalable solutions
Analyzes disparate data to provide insight into the project performance
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommended solutions
Creates structure and clarity in ambiguous situations to drive team priorities
Present findings in a professional manner to leaders in the organization
Ability to recognize and uncover insights that inform decision-making. Turn those insights into stories that are clear and easy to understand.
Design clear, concise data visualization that maximizes audience understanding
Summarizes analysis into user-friendly deliverables by translating detailed data into business-appropriate communication and recommendations.
Deep understanding of executing scalable solutions for data driven solutions across a variety of datasets
Analyze clickstream analytics to uncover meaningful insights for optimization recommendations
Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, MIS, math, statistics, business or related field. Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Econometrics or related field. advanced degrees, such as MS or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is a big plus
  • 5+ years progressively responsible experience with a consistent track record of leveraging analytics to drive significant business impact or to develop data/algorithm-based products.
  • 5+ years of marketing analytics/digital analytics (including optimization) experience


  • Demonstrated experience in application and integration of advanced statistical, mathematical, data mining, predictive modeling and business analysis skills and techniques to identify data driven opportunities and outcomes and provide the tracking and measurement of results.
  • 5+ years manipulating and analyzing large datasets on one or more of the following platforms: Google Analytics Power BI RStudio, Power Pivot, Tableau, Qlik, Adobe Analytics
  • Strong SQL, SAS, R, or Python experience.
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data into clean, clear, and digestible insights
  • Proficient in Excel for dashboards, data analysis, and data visualization


  • Experience writing advanced analytics code statements, models, and macros
  • Experience in working with log level streamed data
  • Understanding of attribution modeling


This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
