Sr Benefits Analyst
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Senior Benefits Analyst to join our Total Rewards Team based in Dania Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of Benefit Administration, be customer service and detailed oriented, and be highly proficient in Excel and working in HRIS systems. This role will be responsible for the daily administration of all benefit plans, including, creating reports to highlight trends, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and filings, working with team members and vendors to resolve issues, completing regular audits, and operating as a subject matter expert for all benefits-related questions. You will be successful in this role because you are passionate about employee benefits and compliance, educating team members and providing the support they need, and that the company is protected through your efforts complying with state and federal labor policies.
What You’ll Do:
- Administer a variety of employee health and welfare benefit programs.
- Assist in the execution of various new benefit plan implementations.
- Assist with annual Open Enrollment administration of benefits planning cycle, including data prep, system testing, auditing, and updating User Interface instructions in Workday and generating post-OE reports/surveys
- Assist with department processes to improve workflows and procedures
- Support the Benefits process by working with HR process owners
- Research and work with carriers, leaders and TMs to resolve escalated benefit issues.
- Conduct New Hire Orientations; maintain materials and update as required.
- Assist in the continued development and introduction of informative benefit communications. Utilize information provided by vendors; ensure availability of adequate materials and develop appropriate in-house company materials.
- Deliver Benefit training programs and processes to key internal stakeholders
- Assist with the annual Open Enrollment administration of benefits planning cycle, including data prep, system testing, auditing, and updating User Interface instructions in Workday and generating post-OE reports/surveys
- Provide benefit data analytical support for Health & Welfare and Retirement benefits
- Provide integration support for current and new integration files, including collaboration with internal and external partners to resolve errors and configuration issues
- Provide/analyze data housed in Workday system and externally from vendor partners
- Provide research, analysis, and benchmarking support for new or considered benefits
- Test and manage enhancements to benefit tools and processes including Workday
- Conduct monthly benefit audits for all integrations and benefit plan invoices
- Regularly audit and facilitate payment of benefit Invoices
- Identify issues and notify management of errors/concerns and potential resolutions
- Gather/analyze monthly health & welfare and retirement data into Data Dashboard
- Test and manage enhancements to benefit tools and processes in Workday
- Maintain knowledge of government regulations. Ensure compliance of benefits administration with federal and state laws, including IRS and Department of Labor.
- Special projects as required
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum of two years experience in Benefits Administration, with knowledge of Section 125 regulations, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, IRS, and FLSA regulations
- Minimum of two years experience working in an HRIS system (such as ADP, Kronos, Workday)
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to research complex questions and conduct complex analysis of claims, budget projections, etc.
- Customer service focused, have a passion for process improvement, be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail oriented; demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as strong data entry skills.
- Tableau experience a Plus
- Position may require travel
