The Opportunity

Ally's residual setting team delivers results that are industry leading in residual performance and critical to the success of Ally's lease business. The Senior Analyst Business Analytics will be responsible for deployment of residuals, data analysis, reporting and solutions in support of strategic residual setting. The role will continuously optimize and automate data solutions, reporting and residual setting processes.

The Work Itself

Residual Deployment
  • Deployment of bi-monthly and mid-cycle residuals for Ally's consumer lease product to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain residual database and optimize and streamline processes for continuous improvement

Data Analysis, Reporting & Residual Tools Solutions
  • Create standard reports and presentations that deliver results of complex information in a clear, concise, and meaningful format
  • Test accuracy of residual calculations, odd terms , seasonality, Ally & OEM support, low mileage and other factors impacting residual values
  • Work with internal team and IT to support testing and implementing data solutions
  • Optimize and automate existing and new analysis and reporting. Continuously contemplate improvements and test accuracy
  • Support ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and presentations


Residual Setting Processes & Support
  • Provide daily support of existing processes and data challenges
  • Maintain Residual Setting Processes and Desking Procedures


The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 3+ Years of Data and Business Analysis Preferred, Auto finance/lease experience is a plus
  • Strong Excel, Access and Power Point skills
  • Power BI, SAS are a plus
  • Self-motivated with ability to work and take initiative in a fast paced environment with multiple changes
  • Flexibility is critical. Must have ability to multi-task and switch gears quickly
  • Ability to manage projects, prioritize and deliver results
  • Strong financial analytical skills
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and develop creative solutions
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
