You will join a talented team of scientists and engineers as part of the Motorola Solutions AI Team working on developing mission-critical AI solutions for our public safety and commercial customers.
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and talented Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Speech & Audio team within the Chief Technology Office, where you will participate in cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) research and product development. You will work alongside scientists and engineers to implement, deploy, and maintain systems that will directly impact users in the public safety and commercial domains in the form of products and services that make use of speech and audio technology.
As part of the team, you will implement, optimize, and help deploy novel machine learning algorithms applied to sound classification, speech recognition and audio context understanding. You will be involved in the entire machine learning life cycle – from data collection, model development to inference and deployment.
Responsibilities
Performing duties in all areas of development (data collection, model training and evaluation, deployment and scaling, real world testing and validation).
Applying your understanding of algorithms in collaboration with Research Scientists to containerize and implement them at scale.
Designing new and improving existing pipelines for training, inference and evaluation.
Interfacing with multi-disciplinary product teams.
Leveraging your leadership skills as you drive complex projects to completion with minimal supervision.
Required Skills:
Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field.
4+ years industry experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer or Software Engineer with relevant products and services.
Expert knowledge of Python and containerized infrastructures (Docker and/or Kubernetes).
Practical experience implementing Machine Learning systems at scale (Tensorflow, PyTorch, and/or Kaldi preferred).
Desired Skills:
Experience in building speech recognition and/or natural language processing systems.
Knowledge in audio digital signal processing and speech processing is a plus.
Familiarity with the following: distributed in-memory computing technologies (Redis), Azure DevOps, Elasticsearch, RESTful architectures, Node.js, CUDA programming, deep learning model compression and inference optimization, distributed systems, Apache Kafka (or similar streaming platforms).
Basic Requirements
Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field.
4+ years industry experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer or Software Engineer with relevant products and services.
