Senior Data Governance Analyst - Privacy
Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Own, develop, and execute the privacy-by-design strategy in alignment with the Data Governance strategic pillars and initiatives
• Lead privacy analysis and assessment of data products throughout the product development cycle to ensure compliance with global privacy laws, frameworks and best practices
• Coordinate and drive cross-stakeholder alignment regarding implementation of privacy requirements and proposed remediation
• Act as a privacy area specialist within FIS's agile product ideation and delivery model to identify enabling capabilities to drive value
• Develop and own oversight and monitoring for FIS's Privacy Monitoring & Response program. Including frameworks for de-personalizing consumer data, consent management, 3rd party data handling and data subject rights
• Develop governance and monitoring programs to ensure that privacy-by-design is implemented into all facets of data ingestion, proliferation and product lifecycle
• Partner with technical teams to identify privacy-enabling-technologies and solutions that can be scaled into the business's data products and solutions
• Lead the charge for FIS's goal in enabling responsible and sustainable data driven solutions.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES• 5+ Years experience in privacy compliance OR 8+ years experience in a similar discipline such as Cyber-security or data protection
• Project management experience preferred
• Experience working with Data Governance best practices and frameworks, either within or alongside a Data Governance program
• Experience operating within Agile preferred
• Experience working within a large and highly matrixed data organization
• CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT (or similar certification(s)) preferred.
FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Advanced professional role requiring high skill with extensive proficiency. Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated or a senior peer needs to be consulted. Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others. Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel. Organizes the development and implementation of processes, policies, and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of risk related information. Educates and trains all levels of staff and business associates about the risk management program and their respective responsibilities in carrying out program provisions. This role independently leads/manages various consulting projects and privacy risk assessments. Ensures the protection of corporate assets and client provided consumer information and advises management on the relative advantages/disadvantages of various courses of action to mitigate risk. Typically requires five to seven years of experience in the privacy discipline or at a public company in a related field.
