How you'll make an impact:

The Campaign Development team at SiriusXM Connected Vehicle Services supports Marketing objectives by developing, automating, and managing marketing campaigns in a high volume, fast-paced environment using customer segmentation and audience management platforms.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will report to the Senior Manager of Marketing Operations and play a critical role in the success of the organization. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for campaign requirements gathering as well as minor campaign updates.

The objective of the Senior Business Systems Analyst's role is to gather, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders related to marketing campaign projects. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user and technical requirements to convey to development teams throughout the campaign development lifecycle. The Business Systems Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support campaign development and ensure that campaign deliverables meet specifications.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
  • Conduct iterative requirements sessions with the project team to define functional system requirements via workshops, use cases, scenarios and other methods.
  • Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement specifications.
  • Work with architecture team to ensure system support for stated functional requirements when necessary. Establish alternative cases when applicable.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
  • Where necessary, develop prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on findings.
  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis in order to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions.
  • Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
  • Create process models, specifications, use-cases, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
  • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
  • Establish and enforce proper change request management procedures for all projects to ensure proper scope control.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Conduct campaign analysis in SQL environment.
  • Support development of multichannel campaigns including email, direct mail, outbound call, in-vehicle messaging, and push notifications.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, computer science or information systems or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7 years of experience in related field or equivalent, relevant experience
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
  • Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to apply statistical and other research methods into systems issues and products as required.
  • Demonstrated project management, including the ability to provide oversight and guidance through all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Subscription-based business model experience preferred.
  • Billing system experience preferred.
  • Marketing campaign strategy and segmentation experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Experience with CRM system and/or data warehousing experience - Teradata/CIM are preferred, but any SQL environment experience is valuable
  • Familiarity with CRM application functions and database objects
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
  • SQL expertise - able to write complex SQL statements for analysis and development and reverse-engineer someone else's work. A "data person" comfortable learning a business through its data.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
