SACM Analyst

Service Asset Configuration Management Specialist should be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge in identifying, controlling, recording, reporting, auditing and verifying IT service assets and configuration items (CIs). Specifically, focusing on versions, baselines, constituent components, their attributes and relationships, and ensuring the integrity of the assets and configurations required to control the services and IT infrastructure by establishing and maintaining an accurate and complete Configuration Management System. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, business management, and customer service skills, a strong IT background is also highly desired.
Typical duties may include:• Maintaining and developing a comprehensive, effective SACM program
• Full lifecycle management of IT and service assets, from the point of acquisition through to disposal• Defining and documenting CIs throughout their lifecycle
• Optimizing the lifecycle schedule of service assets, mitigating the costs and risks caused by poorly managed assets• Monitoring standards compliance, as well as change and release implementation• Evaluating baseline deviations and making recommendations for rectifying them• Implementing and ensuring adherence to Change Management policies and procedures• Evaluating contracts and developing associated Configuration Management schedules• Ensuring Software version control, coordinating updates to adhere to defined standards, legal, and cybersecurity requirements
• Assisting with the integration of Asset and Configuration Management systems and standard operating procedures with other organizational processes
• Managing Hardware and Software resources and service warranties as defined by the service level agreements and contracts• Documenting and reviewing CM audit findings and coordinating corrective action as required
• Conducting Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Control Board (CCB) meetings
Clearance:
• Secret with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI - minimum
• TS/SCI - desired
Educational Requirement:
• Bachelors degree and 2+ years of related experience.
- /8Bachelors Degree or commensurate level of experience based on position level (Associate, Journeyman, Senior, etc.) * Additional experience can be substituted for formal education (e.g., 2 years' experience = 1-year formal education)
Certification Requirements:
• ITIL v3/4 Foundation
Experience Requirements:
• 2+ years IT configuration management experience in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is desired
• Work experience with ServiceNow ITSM platform
