Reviews and approves complex analytics and statistical modeling on large data sets that identify current market sector trends and customer patterns. This job directs the examination and identification of data patterns and trends that help answer business questions and improve decision-making. Oversees the collection of data sources, as well as the analysis and extraction of key data and information.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Approves mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques that determine market conditions, project consumer needs and inform business initiatives.
• Analyzes and reviews trends found from modeling to inform other lines of business such as product development and marketing decisions.
• Oversees data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential business decisions.
• Develops and presents detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance, and investment management based on data summaries.
• Partners with other areas of the business to model outcome of implementing potential business strategies.
• Manages large, complex projects or processes with limited oversight while working with other team members to ensure accurate findings and results.

Job Description:

Sr. Tech Lead is a hands-on senior development lead with deep understanding of architecting, designing, developing and deploying data solutions leading small teams of data engineers. Data architecture and data engineering are required skills for this role. The ideal candidate should have an expertise in building cloud data solutions including, cloud data warehouse, data lakes, data modeling, data integration and data visualization. Experience in managing data team across geographical locations is required.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Design data solution on various data platforms like Snowflake, Teradata, Exadata, etc. using data engineering tools like DataStage, Informatica, Talend, Kafka, or equivalent, leveraging TIAA's enterprise reporting applications like Tableau, OBIEE, Sisense
• Collaborate with various technology and business teams in gathering requirements and building solutions to address business problems
• Lead small team of data engineers
• Technical evaluation of products and providing recommendation on modernizing tools and processes
• Provide technical expertise and necessary support to production applications

Qualifications

Required Skills

• 8 years experience in Data and Technology Field
• 8 years of building end-to-end data solutions using data warehouse principles and processes
• 8 years in Designing Data Solution on various platforms like Snowflake, Teradata , Exadata, SQL Server, Oracle Database
• 8 years of experience in a data integration tool like DataStage, Ab Initio, Talend or Informatica
• 8 years of experience on SQL and Data Modelling

Preferred Skills

• 1 year of experience on Snowflake Data Platform; Experience in migrating workloads from Teradata, Oracle, Exadata, Hadoop or equivalent to Snowflake
• At least 1 year of experience on AWS Cloud enabled data movement technologies
• Experience in Public Cloud technology stack
• Experience in CI/CD Processes
• Good exposure to programming language like Java, Python, Scala
• Project Management
• University Degree preferred
• Expertise in at least one reporting applications like Tableau, OBIEE, Sisense, etc.

Potential Salary: $170,100.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
