Joint Doctrine Analyst, Senior
Key Role:
Bring in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of joint doctrine analysis, development, revision, and publication processes. Serve as a joint doctrine analyst supporting a DoD client responsible for front end analysis, capability, or concept gap assessment. Apply subject matter expertise to examine joint warfighting concepts, campaign plans, contingency plans, operations plans, orders, and concepts of operations for joint doctrine equities. Develop and coordinate staffing packages for senior leadership and departmental requirements to task actions to Services and combatant commanders. Lead collaborative teams. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Department of Defense, including tours at OSD, Joint Staff, Service, Combatant Command, or Component Command headquarters staffs
- Experience with framing complex issues for consumption by senior leaders via briefs, memos, and reports
- Experience with analyzing and evaluating information to identify trends, association, and operational impact
- Experience in applying joint operations methodology to identify joint dependencies in the operational environment
- Experience with leading teams to meet timelines and deliverables
- Experience in coordinating and leading meetings, both pre-planned and short notice
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in Process Improvement, including understanding complex processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing automation where possible
- Experience with supporting Service or Joint Professional Military Education focused organizations
- Knowledge of Universal Joint Task List (UJTL), Mission Essential Tasks (METs), and DoD Terminology Program
- Knowledge of the Joint Planning and Execution Services (JPES), Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP), Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX), or Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES)
- Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Master's degree
- Graduate of Joint Professional Military Education
