Finance Analytics Lead
We are seeking an experienced and innovative analytics professional to help develop the data analytics practice supporting Finance. In this role you will be exposed to a broad range of challenges and have the opportunity to make an impact across the organization. You should be an intellectually curious self-starter that is comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment. You have the unique combination of skills to distill complex problems into key components, manipulate and analyze large datasets, and communicate clear insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities
- Perform analyses and build models to understand and impact key performance metrics.
- Build thoughtful and insightful analytics tools to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and advise leadership on potential opportunities for investment and growth.
- Automate manual reports, analyses, and processes to improve efficiency across the Finance organization.
- Develop a deep understanding of our financial infrastructure, pipelines, metrics, and processes in order to create a shared knowledge base.
- Prepare concise, compelling written communications to present project plans, findings, and recommendations to a broad set of stakeholders.
- Translate complex or ambiguous business problem statements into analytical projects.
- Lead large cross-functional initiatives across Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to drive operational efficiency and develop scalable solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or similar analytical field
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science, business intelligence, or analytics
- Demonstrated analytical skills to structure complex problems, manipulate and analyze large data sets, and produce actionable insights
- Experience collecting business requirements and partnering with engineering teams to implement new data pipelines and models
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
- Expert at querying and manipulating data using SQL
- Development experience with BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
- Proficiency in Excel for ad hoc analysis, visualization, and financial modeling
- Proficiency in Python (nice to have)
- Experience with Finance/Accounting/Revenue metrics and processes (nice to have)
