Job Summary:

This role is responsible for analyzing statistical, financial, and competitive information to help make pricing, underwriting, agency management, distribution, operations, marketing, and claims decisions.

• Execute and assist with analytics projects in support of research and development objectives
• Utilize advanced programming techniques to meet project goals efficiently
• Assist in implementation of models for pricing, conversion, retention, expense, and price optimization
• Communicate with business leaders and staff across functions
• Design and manipulate large datasets across platforms
• Conduct predictive modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Master's degree in statistics, actuarial science, economics, or related field
• P&C insurance industry background with working knowledge of auto insurance
• Understanding of insurance product design and mathematical underpinnings of rating algorithms
• Strong analytical skills, especially in predictive modeling and data mining techniques
• Expertise with statistical software
• 0-2 years of experience working with and analyzing data in an office setting
• CAS exams
