Data Scientist II
Summary
As part of the Marketing Analytics team at Aristocrat Gaming, the Data Scientist II will use mathematics, statistics, and business analytics to develop sophisticated models to bring insights to drive business decisions. This role will use advanced data analysis to understand customer and player profiles and build models to provide insights on our customer and player bases and play patterns. This role will also identify opportunities and measure impacts of our marketing strategy across different marketing channels as well as macro trends impacting the gaming industry.
What You'll Do

• Deliver actionable and data driven insights based on quantitative analysis in line with industry best practices
• Develop custom machine learning models such as segmentation, market basket association, multi touch attribution, churn models etc.
• Develop analytics on market conditions impacting gaming industry and product sales
• Develop metrics to measure effectiveness of campaigns, channel performance and customer sentiment
• Collaborates and coordinates with different functional teams to implement model and monitor outcomes
• Creates reports, projections, predictive models, and presentations to support business and marketing strategies in a clear and concise manner
• Analyze site behavior and channel response data to surface insights and strategic recommendations to better customize marketing efforts

What We're Looking For

• Masters degree in Math, Computer Science, Statistics or related analytical field
• 4+ years of experience with experience using mathematics, statistical modeling, web analytics to build advanced analytical solutions used for insights to drive business decisions
• Experience working in Customer Experience and/or Voice of Customer roles prior, including surveying a customer base for feedback
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to translate complex statistical/mathematical models and analytical results to higher level business insights
• Strong technical skills, including database tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
• Proven experience with data analysis and statistical modeling using R/Python/SAS, with packages such as pandas, Statsmodel, etc.
• Meets challenges consistently and confidently with energy and drive. Motivated by results, urgency, and personal commitment
• Possesses high integrity and exceptional work ethic. Fosters mutual trust and respect, and is an excellent team player
• Able to work effectively in a highly complex matrix environment, with a proven ability to influence without formal authority and achieve results through people
