We are looking for a data junkie who loves to use data to solve a wide variety of challenging problems. In this role, you will be involved in deriving insights by sourcing and combining proprietary, third-party, and public data sources to power all aspects of our business including lead sourcing, deal placements, evaluating credit risk and much more. You'll also be building and managing data lakehouses and contribute to the engineering of our data infrastructure. We are looking for a hands-on problem solver who has strong communication skills and enjoys taking ownership and driving key initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilites

•  Write beautiful Python code that's focused on scalability, testability, and maintainability
• Manage and execute data lakehouses that power the needs of our business verticals
• Architect, design, and build data solutions for a plethora of features/products we have in the pipeline
• Own the model development lifecycle: data sourcing, exploration, design/back testing, algorithm development, deployment, monitoring, A/B testing, and performance tuning
• Cross-functional collaboration with product, design, marketing, and engineering team on building new features

• Have a Master's or PhD in relevant quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, data science. Or have 5 years of relevant industry experience
• Have very strong programming ability in Python
• Are very proficient in SQL, especially when applied to data exploration and manipulation
• Have experience with public cloud platforms (AWS)
• Have experience with building statistical or machine learning models, model serving infrastructure, and deploying models to production
• Have experience with data warehouse/lake, schema design, and dimensional data modeling
• Have excellent communication skills and works well with others across all aspects of the business
• Are self-motivated and dislike micro-management
• Feel passionate about the latest technologies
• Are a team player

Bonus points if you have

•  Experience with building NLP models applied to data extraction
• Experience building pipelines with SQL and python-based ETL frameworks
• Experience working with distributed computing (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark)
• Worked in a high-growth company.
