Our Mission:
Large marketplaces like Amazon have trained us to expect products delivered to our doorsteps within 1-2 days at no extra cost. As a result, millions of sellers on other marketplaces are falling behind, unable to cost-effectively deliver products to their customers. Our mission is to transform the $8-12T fragmented and outdated logistics industry, and build an intelligent, asset-lite network that enables any online seller to offer fast, affordable fulfillment.
Our Team:
How we arrived at Deliverr is different - we are violinists, economists, ex-consultants, journalists, and more. What unites us together is the Deliverr factor: a bias for action, curiosity, and entrepreneurial ownership. We're looking for intelligent, driven, and passionate people to help make our vision a reality. We're based in the heart of San Francisco and building teams around the globe - backed by leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms. If you are excited about joining a people-first company that is driven to power the future of online retail, - we're looking for you.
What you'll do:
  • Discover and communicate patterns in your business domain (e.g., trucking economics, shipping performance) using your quantitative analysis and data communication skills
  • Influence metrics by identifying impacting levers, making recommendations to other teams, and measuring impact
  • Empower stakeholders to understand patterns in your domain by defining core metrics and designing / building / maintaining self-serve analytics (i.e., business intelligence tools)
  • Inform Deliverr's decisions around your domain by providing insights via sound analysis

What we're looking for:
  • A minimum of an undergraduate quantitative degree in applied statistics, analytics, economics, or similar
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Data Science Analyst, or similar
  • Proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL (or other SQL dialect)
  • Ability to build effective reporting (e.g., reports, dashboards)
  • Urgency for action - over rigor when necessary
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and adapt in a rapid-growth startup
  • Precise and concise communication

Bonus points for:
  • Experience working in logistics or e-commerce industry
  • Experience with dbt

This position is remote, however, employees must reside in the US or Canada in accordance with employment laws.

An Insider's view of Deliverr

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Deliverr's work-life balance is the best I've experienced. The company is extremely flexible and how you structure your day is up to you. As long as you're able to attend core team meetings and achieve your deliverables, how you work and when you work is flexible.

Business Operations & Strategy

What projects are you most excited about?

Deliverr is launching a same-day delivery operation in Chicago for beauty & wellness products. It'll bring Chicagoans a premium buying experience from the comfort of their homes. As the Operations Manager, I spend most of the day in the details of each order to ensure Chicagoan's are getting the products they need, exactly when they want it!

Molly Chamberlin

Operations Manager

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Deliverr has given me the opportunity to grow outside of just the Operations sector. By working with Engineering, Growth, Support and Data Science, I have been able to expand my knowledge base by learning how our systems communicate and flow together, collaborate on different marketing strategies and understand customer experience and engagement.

TIm Bax
