Data Engineering Manager - Fully Remote

As a Data Engineering Manager, you will be a technical manager within a growth-hungry, acceleration-minded team of problem-solvers and product-builders. We seek thought-partners who can collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and marketing teams to deliver quality solutions rapidly.Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and project leadership for the Data Engineering team;
- Analyze existing and upcoming requirements for data platform;
- Participate in design and lead implementation of data engineering strategies for operational solutions and services
- Support Data engineering team with daily maintenance and improvements of existing LTK Data platform
- Mentor and develop the technical skills of more junior data engineers of LTK Data engineering team
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical users to understand requirements, define objectives, and measure results
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor data engineers with varying focus areas
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field, + at least 6 years of relevant experience; Master’s preferred
- Experience building and managing a team of Data engineers
- Proven experience with deployment, driving strategy and physical architecture for data engineering,and production at scale
- Profound knowledge of AWS Data services (eg: Redshift, AWS S3, EMR, Glue, RDS, Kinesis, etc.)
- Expert proficiency with: Snowflake, Databricks, Scala, Python and Spark
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with agile development required
- Fierce attention to detail
- Experience working with off-/near-shore development teams preferred
- Excellent communication skills
