OPPORTUNITY

This Data Engineer role is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about technology, innovation, and creating complex data solutions. New hires will work with LBMC service lines and executive leadership to build scalable and reliable analytics solutions using Azure DevOps and candidates should be highly skilled in building ETL pipelines. SCOPE OF WORK

• Work closely with internal and external business stakeholders to identify data and analytics needs including critical metrics and KPIs to deliver actionable insights for decision-makers. Maintain an innovation and technical transformation mindset for all projects. 
• Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization. This can be accomplished through creating ETL pipelines in Azure environments, utilizing data warehouse procedures, and writing SQL stored procedures.
• Provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets
• Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools within defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
• Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets
• Develop Power Platform solutions to automate routine processes for end-users
• Consult with project stakeholders and educates team on understanding data sets to take complicated problems and build simple frameworks and analytics models/reports
• Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
• Assist Data Analyst team in creating and maintaining rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources. This may involve assisting with PowerBI dashboard training to ensure end users can be self-sufficient while pulling reports once they are automated to ensure reports are used properly for decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with Technical Product Owners to continually build on the relationship between LBMC data teams and internal service lines

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or relevant technical certifications is preferred 
• 2+ years’ experience in a Data Engineer role within a highly collaborative team-oriented environment is required
• Ability to design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines within an Azure environment is required. SQL, PowerApps, Power Automate is a plus. 
• Familiarity with PowerBI and ability to train end-users on the platform is a plus
• Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques preferred
• Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
• Technical writing experience in areas including queries, reports, and presentations with a high attention to detail and organization
