At CoreWeave we are building the next generation public cloud for accelerated workloads. Our stack consists of 8,000 bare metal servers with 45,000 GPUs total with over 7 data-centers. We lay Kubernetes on top to provide bare metal performance to users in ML Training, Real Time Inference and CGI markets. Your Role and Responsibilities
The Data Center Technician will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This entry-level position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation. This role will be located in our Springfield, NJ datacenter, with flexibility to travel between Springfield and Weehawken, NJ.
- Maintain data center operations to ensure availability and reliability of service levels
- Conduct hardware and network diagnostics
- Perform hardware and network repairs
- Assemble and install equipment
- Create documentation and manage inventory
- Use troubleshooting skills and innovate solutions to fix complex problems within the Data Center space
- Perform maintenance of test and tools equipment
- Occasional travel to other data centers as needed
Requirements
- Computer Hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
- Linux Operating System experience
- All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations
- Candidates should be able to lift up to 50lbs and/or work in elevated locations
- Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
- Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues
Education/Experience
Hands-on OR educational based experience with any of the following areas:
- Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills experience
- Data Center experience
- Computer Networking experience
- Python, Bash or other scripting languages experience
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- An Associates Degree or equivalent experience in an IT related field
