JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Data Analyst will support a high-visibility enterprise-level program at Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) and manage an enterprise Decision Support Tool (eDST). This position will be required to analyze and integration project data from multiple sources, including strategic and authoritative guidance, source documents, stakeholder-provided information, financial and budgetary information, timelines, and other dynamic actions to manage the eDST. The analyst will manage a unit-focused Indo-Pacific Posture eDST to facilitate United States Marine Corps (USMC) decisions based on HQMC Enterprise scenarios. The analyst shall make assessments of requirements, timelines, and resources and ensure all associated support is adequately reflected in the eDST. The analyst will identify irregularities in the related support of all projects, including direct and indirect associations.

Duties will include:

  • Review plans and milestones for Guam infrastructure and approaches to Okinawa construction and Hawaii requirements, including the more extensive Force Design strategies impacting the Pacific laydown and associated bilateral agreements.
  • Sustain, monitor, maintain, and report on the status of the eDST, capturing all major program milestones, events, and irregularities.
  • Using Microsoft Project, manage a unit-focused Indo-Pacific Posture eDST to facilitate USMC decisions based on HQMC Enterprise scenarios.
  • Sustain the Pacific Posture eDST using seven Department of Defense (DoD) capability pillars as major tasks and conditional formatting for completed and non-completed tasks.
  • Sustain the eDST to include standup information, readiness, and cost banners to prevent duplication.
  • Analyze relationship connectivity in the eDST for doctrine, organization, and training.
  • Lead or support meetings, conferences, and workshops to support planning teams and reviews.
  • Work as part of a team of Active Duty, Civil Service, and contractors to offer the client customized planning solutions.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Secret Clearance is Required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Preferred BA or BS degree from an accredited university, but not mandatory.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: None.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years of experience analyzing information, projects, timelines, and funding profiles supporting multiple projects. SharePoint experience is preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mostly on-site work at the Pentagon, with some remote work opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
  • Ability to multi-task and employ critical thinking skills.
  • Flexibility is necessary.
