Primary Responsibilities:

  • Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
  • Gathers, understands, and documents user requirements and technical specifications
  • Creates and helps maintain technical documentation for new and existing applications
  • Schedules and leads meetings with the appropriate teams to discuss issues, projects, and updates
  • Provide training to users on EPM, Document Management, Front Office, Billing, and Scheduling Admin
  • Support of the Revenue Cycle Team to maximize reimbursements
  • Provide helpdesk ticket troubleshooting and resolution over phone, chat, and email
  • Collaborate on upgrade/implementation/go-live projects
  • Maintain Nextgen File Maintenance Libraries, Master Files, and Master Lists
  • Implementation of Best Practices and System Optimizations
  • Create and maintain end-user training documentation
  • Manage and complete System Access Requests
  • Work with Management and Users for department/job duty specific system modifications
  • Participates in multiple concurrent projects
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of IT experience in lieu of a Diploma/GED
  • 7+ years Nextgen Practice Management support
  • 7+ years Healthcare IT experience
  • 5+ years Ambulatory claim submission/payment experience
  • 5+ years of Multi-specialty experience
  • 5+ years Microsoft Office experience
  • 3+ years in a Help Desk Setting


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of IT experience
  • CPC Certification
  • Ability to analyze and document processes and workflows
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot complex technology, software, and system solutions
  • Ability to effectively work with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only : The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
