About the role:
The Financial Institutions Payments and Wealth (FIP&W) Administration team is responsible for driving strategic initiatives for AP&W. They create and implement strategy to drive margin expansion via cost reduction, revenue increase, or efficiency building within the division. We balance time between short term goals and thoughtful go-forward strategy for optimizing operations with the lines of business and the leveraged functions.
What you will be doing?
• Performs analyses of the business goals, objectives and needs of the general business environment for appropriate FIS segment, division, group or line of business.• Performs research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to manager or project leader.• Plans and designs business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.• Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.• Identifies and implements best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.• Calculates/estimates costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/return on investment.• Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.• Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics and identifies improvement opportunities.• May train internal employees on changes to business practices, processes or procedures.• May perform special projects upon request and on occasion.• May provide coaching and/or guidance to less experienced Business Analysts.• Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Added bonus if you have:
• Knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies• Knowledge of a wide range of interface design, development and debugging tools, techniques and methodologies• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills• Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment• Ability to work independently and intuitive ability to prioritize assignments• Must be dependable and able to meet and fulfill obligations• Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal customers.• Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise with other resources• Must be highly flexible and adapt to changing priorities• Must be detail-oriented and thorough in completing tasks• Willing to take on responsibilities and challenges
