Business Architect Manager (remote)
The Business Architect Manager is accountable for all business architecture components of the annual Business Transformation Office roadmap process. This position helps lead the overall roadmap framework, supports large architecture initiatives in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and provides day-to-day support for business architecture staff.
The Business Architect team is responsible for leading business design activities across health plan capabilities, identifying opportunities and facilitating execution of process and technology improvements. Working with key business and technology leaders, is integral to business capability design and innovation efforts across the ecosystem. This team has a major role in the strategic planning and oversight to ensure implementation and delivery is aligned with these strategies.
Key Capabilities:
- Responsible for overall business architecture design for Medica and solution design in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture
- Provides leadership support for Business Architect staff, including 1:1 meetings, annual goals, and oversight of work progress
- Provides support to BTO Roadmap efforts including business architecture completion of Epics and involvement in sizing efforts
- Responsible to ensure that Medica's business capability model is current and updated on a frequent basis (minimum annually)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field
- 5 plus years of work experience beyond degree and 2 years of leadership experience
- Healthcare experience
Specific types of experience or skills required:
- Experience working with senior leadership across multiple teams and organizations
- Extensive work experience in a health plan environment
- Experience with standard management processes, controls and tools including budgeting, performance monitoring
- Experience working with project management and quality improvement tools and methodologies
- Strong customer service skills with collaborative management style with the ability to work with staff at all levels of a complex organization
- Demonstrated leadership in communications/collaboration, performance improvement and issue resolution
- Proven ability as a leader of staff and innovator of operational processes
- Action orientation; ability to delegate with clear direction and follow up skills
- Ability to motivate others
