Business Analyst
Overview
AvePoint is seeking a Business Analyst with enterprise software solutions experience to join our Product Strategy team.
What will you be doing?
The Business Analyst will explore business processes and applicable automated systems, and lead requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, and validation activities with customers and partners. The Business Analyst then works closely with our Engineering organization as a “customer advocate” during the development and testing phases of product releases - communicating the detail and context of customer needs and experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Elicit requirements from customers, partners and other key stakeholders.
- Document, analyze and evaluate requirements gathered, generating detailed user stories that will be the basis for future development by the Engineering team.
- Translate technical information into business language to ensure understanding of the requirements by both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Support Product Strategy, User Experience, Architecture leads, and other team members in planning deliverables, scope, schedule, and other aspects of the product.

Other qualities you will need to be a fit for this role include:
- Background/experiences in relevant fields (Computer Science, Engineering, etc. preferred).
- Professional experience with analyzing and documenting complex business processes, software development requirements, and taxonomies.
- Professional experience with requirements gathering and analysis.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365/Teams/SharePoint/Dynamics CRM/ architecture, components, and configuration preferred.
