Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Operations & Technology team. In support of this dynamic and growing sector as a Business Analyst you will be responsible for the investigative work to determine business requirements and specify efficient business processes. You will work hand in hand with the client, product & engineering teams to plan each assigned project associated with Enterprise Rights Program with defined milestones.
Business Analysis and Client Engagement

  • Develop deliverables, including but not limited to, workflows, wireframes and process models, detailed business requirements, use cases, business rules, release notes, change management documentation, etc.
  • Follow established demand management process to engage business partners on requirements gathering
  • Follow established governance process to prioritize requests
  • Conduct requirement review with business users including internal & external application teams


Project Delivery

  • Partner with the product & engineering delivery team to assess technical feasibility
  • Manage blockers and impediments to the release plan
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Develop and maintain project plans to track milestones and detailed tasks
  • Track open issues
  • Write and communicate project status
  • Issue weekly project status reports
  • Manage resource allocations across projects


Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5 years in business systems analysis with mastery of requirements gathering and process definition
  • A demonstrated track record of success in forging and developing excellent relationship with key business partners and stakeholders
  • Understanding of system architecture, integration, and software development processes along with experience managing application development


Required Characteristics

  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal. High comfort-level with MS Office apps including PowerPoint is a must.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, work on assigned development tasks independently, leverage team members and resources as necessary, apply critical and creative thinking, challenging the status quo where necessary
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage aggressive timelines and professionally navigate high pressure situations
  • Ability to quickly learn a broad array of technologies and apply that knowledge to real-world problems
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, executive team, external partners


Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Media Entertainment, Intellectual Property, IP Rights & associated business process are highly desired
  • Experience with Intellectual Property & Rights Management Systems is a strong plus
  • Technical expertise in such areas as SQL, Data Modelling
  • Experience with User Interface and/or Report design
  • Experience with Process Improvement methodologies
  • Experience with various formal methodologies for Agile software development
  • Business savvy, with the ability to interpret technology issues for consumption by non-technology business partners
