Highlights:
As a Business Analyst of Process and Data, you excel at identifying trends within large data sets to provide recommendations for business and process improvements. You focus on analyzing processes and large amounts of data from various data warehouse environments and providing reporting. You ensure the analytical data needs of the business unit are met by working with business users to understand requirements and expectations for permanent and ad-hoc requests. You work within an office environment collaborating with teams via in-person, telephone and email. You report directly to the Manager of Territory Management for goals, guidance and assistance.

What you will do:

  • Drive company-wide excellence through active and consistent support of all efforts to simplify and enhance the client experience.
  • Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing reports.
  • Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources to use in analysis and trending.
  • Provide improvement recommendations by identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports to answer business questions quickly and accurately.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Mitigate risks by investigating and performing root cause analysis.
  • Enhance consistency by defining, documenting, implementing and tracking process flows for all processes, procedures and policies for the department.
  • Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure business processes and rules are aligned and adjust the documentation accordingly.
  • Support strategic Spectrum Enterprise technology and product initiatives by documenting and helping design the business processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure systems and tools are in accordance with business processes and rules.
  • Facilitate business process changes in other departments and support the integration of new products and services, regulatory requirements, tools, technologies and markets into existing operations by working with key stakeholders.
  • Audit existing methods, procedures and process documentation to recommend updates.
  • Participate in process requirements, planning and validation through operational testing to ensure plan changes meet business sponsor needs.
  • Manage the process review to sign off on new methods and procedures.
  • Support testing and roll out of all projects and process improvements by understanding policies, procedures and practices for analysis of business performance and impact.
  • Perform additional duties related to the position as assigned.


Required keys for success:

  • Two years of overall general systems and applications experience.
  • Three years of business analyst or data analyst experience.
  • Experience with reporting tools, such as MicroStrategy.
  • Knowledge of database and reporting systems, like SQL and Oracle.
  • Ability to self-train and learn new skills quickly.
  • Track record of creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Commitment to quality service through appropriate follow through, urgency and persistence.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present information in an easy to understand format.
  • Proven ability to effectively consult with department managers and leaders.
  • Moderate knowledge of telephone billing system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization.


How you will stand out from the crowd:

  • One year of SQL server integration and reporting servers experience.
  • One year of data collection and database design experience.
  • One years of general cable industry experience.


Your education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field (required).
