Primary Objective of Position:

The Business Analyst role is responsible for working directly with all levels of the organization, including Executive Leadership, Process Owners, and Project Managers to identify, prioritize, deliver and operate innovative IT solutions. They will analyze and define IT solutions or process changes to meet customer needs and minimize cost. They are involved and lead aspects of application lifecycle management, including roadmap planning, delivery, and support to releases. They own creation and maintenance of necessary application related documentation and communication. In partnership with the business, they drive to ensure the IT solution meets continuously changing business needs. They will research and identify industry practices, products and processes that are trending and/or that best meet customer needs. The Business Analyst role builds collaborative, trusted partner relationships and manages ongoing communication with the business and IT on project and operational performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Research, create , maintain and improve business processes either enterprise-wide or within a specific business unit.
  • Proactively evaluate and recommend opportunities for process improvements through application of information technology solutions or operational changes.
  • Develop deep expertise in the data sources and reporting needs for assigned functional areas and document data flow.
  • Partner with the business to define, document and prioritize business needs and requirements. Establish user test criteria and perform and coordinate user testing to ensure solutions meet expectations. Lead the development and delivery of user training.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT developers. Provide ongoing communication to the business on project status and operational performance. Coordinate the resolution of any significant issues, working with the broader IT function.
  • Act as a team/project lead if needed on designated projects or assignments.
  • Collaborate with business partners at all levels across the organization to drive business transformational efforts.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first level supervisor.


Critical Competencies

  • Experience with Project or Product delivery practices, including SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall
  • Demonstrated ability to recommend innovative solutions to meet business needs
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement through lean and agile practices
  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge of end-to-end process and system capabilities, as well as industry standards and emerging technologies and methods
  • Ability to understand technical, functional, and operational details of respective solutions.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and detail orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to build functional and technical subject matter expertise, process and tools expertise, and drive consistency in processes.
  • In-depth knowledge or the ability to quickly attain expertise on core IT components within the respective domain.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Executive level communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to lead through influence at peer and executive levels
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
  • SQL/Power BI reporting expertise


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, HR, Finance, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 Years experience as a BA or in IT roles involving direct interaction with business leadership.
  • 5-7 years of experience with Operations and Manufacturing systems
  • 5+ years experience with leading or participating in business change initiatives.
