Job Description The CCB Data Technology organization is responsible for building the strategic and analytic Data Ecosystem for Consumer and Community Banking (CCB). Within the Data Ecosystem we manage the strategic data platforms, including the Integrated Consumer Data Warehouse (ICDW), Big Data Hadoop, and various RDBMS/NoSQL database environments.
As Big Data & Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for tactical and strategic level activities associated with building and supporting CCB Big Data & Cloud environment. Your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our data is used within organization. Your deep knowledge of design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming will help your team raise their game, meeting your standards, as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements. Your expertise in various technology domains (Hadoop/AWS/Database/Python) will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally. Your quest to embracing leading-edge technologies and methodologies inspires you and your team to follow suit. And best of all, you'll be able to harness massive amounts of brainpower through our global network of technologists from around the world. This role is for a hands-on Big Data/Cloud Engineer to support the business and work closely with Data Delivery, Hadoop Engineering, Cloud, Database, Architecture and Risk teams.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend systems development in Unix/Linux
• 2+ years of solid experience in Cloud technologies (Preferably certified in AWS). S3, Data Lake Formation, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, EC2 & Sagemaker
• Solid experience working in Big Data Hadoop Environment
• Experience designing and implementing large scale PB data technologies
• Solid working experience with Hadoop, Hive-Tez, Java, Spark, Kafka, Python
• Thorough understanding of spark framework and tuning of spark applications
• Extensive experience with horizontally scalable and highly available system design and implementation, with focus on performance and resiliency
• Extensive experience profiling, debugging data on complex distributed systems
• Willingness to commit extra effort to meet deadlines as required on a high profile and business critical project
• Extensive knowledge on Moving data between various platforms like Hadoop / Hive / S3 / RDBMS
• Big Data & Cloud Engineer Development/Operational experience in a multi-platform, multi-location, 7x24x365 global environment
• Knowledge of best practice in change, problem, incident, configuration, and system health management
